losing is exponential growth
5/x. the importance of recognizing when you've lost, what you've lost, and how you've lost

Pain is the best teacher.
Throughout my 7 years in the market. I’ve dealt with multiple drawdowns, all consequently larger than the others. The mental strain this causes leads to a desensitized view of money. My view on this is that it’s actually beneficial to maintain drive and expansion of goals. The way I see this as a positive is because every single time a “bottom” is reached, a core knowledge is learned in order to push forward and humbleness is established. Each low mental state forced me to be grateful for each and every blessing received and to believe in something. When that something couldn’t be found, there was no choice but to look within my own capabilities and take advantage of what I can do best in accordance to those around me.

The Lows
What does it mean to hit rock bottom? There is no such thing as rock bottom. Things can always get worse. Rock bottom is a facade as long as one never gives up. An illusion from societal standards. There is always something gained from the previous downfall. Each time a new low is established, either a new belief should be adopted or the core belief is strengthened. A person who can reshape beliefs, yet maintain the core values of other beliefs is unstoppable.
Only then will you realize what more do I have to lose. And there is nothing scarier than a person that has nothing to lose.
Consumed By Standards
When times are high, it is easy to be consumed by standards. Standards are a intrusion on the mind but can be used to identify positions. The standard is the current sentiment. The strength here is finding standards, identifying the deviances from when you were at the lows, then arbitraging the difference. This can apply to trend in society. Fashion, Gaming, Sports, Technology, Stocks, War. There is always some type of advantage.
Beat the fight within oneself, then win.
Keeping this one short, go all in.
